Amazing times in tough conditions!
The previous weekend both Ian Fairweather and Simon Hudson competed in
open time trial events. Fairweather carrying his scorching form to the
open scene came a stunning second out of over one hundred riders in the
Drighlington BC 25, two laps of the A19 between Topcliffe and South
Kilvington in windy conditions. Fairweather scored a personal best for a
25 in the process with a time of 53:05. Hudson opted for a course higher
up the A19, between Crathorne and Knayton. A strong headwind on the
outward bound leg and temporary traffic lights on the turn at Knayton
didn’t prevent Hudson from going well under the hour with a time of
58:52.
