Greg beats last year's fastest time in the Etape Du Dales!
Blue skies greeted the 800 riders entered into the epic Etape du Dales sportive cycle ride on Sunday. The 110 mile course is one of the most challenging rides in the country taking in several huge climbs with some gradients exceeding 1 in 4!
Harrogate Nova was well represented and Greg Ketteringham last years fastest rider pulled of another amazing ride, finishing in 5.55, 5th fastest, only a minute and half behind the quickest rider and 7 minutes quicker than last year! His brother Simon was the next Nova rider across the line with an impressive time of 6.42 in 56th place, with colleague Paul Lehan five minutes behind in 67th place. Duncan Mullier, not having his best day, still managed a very good time of 6.53.
Sam Cook in the over sixties category finished in 7.51, with Eamon Hannaway in the over fifties only 2 minutes behind. Ian Watts finished in 8.22 and Andrew Clay in 10.29.
